Embrace the Ick, idea By Michelle W.
Think of something that truly repulses you. Hold that thought until your skin squirms. Now, write a glowing puff piece about its amazing merits.
Vomit, texture adhering to all it landed on, twinkled with jewel coloured capsicum, carrots and peas. The grey/brown background allowed the gems to glisten in the sunlight. Strands of spinach gave a seaweed effect with a deeper green hue. The enticing smell wafted breezily, attracting the canines in the area to come and consume this delight, licking lustfully, it soon disappeared.
Awwww, yuk, Barbara! 😮 [shuddering violently] Great imagery!

Great piece. My instant reaction to the task was a personal hate – shocking pink tulips teamed with acid yellow wallflowers, but I realise this is altogether too nice a starting point.

That’s interesting Hilary, because as a child there were two sets of colours I couldn’t stand and pink and yellow were one set. In those days there were sayings, ‘pink and red should never be said,’ and ‘blue and green should never be seen.’ They didn’t upset me and later became quite popular. Colour is a very interesting subject. I agree with your dislike of those two plants being put together. In the tennis this year at the Australian open, they have a lot of pink and yellow.

Great! I would have read it out loud to the dogs, but they’d have jumped me in hope that it actually existed somewhere.
