Ultimate Deadline:

Futures Past: As a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up? How close or far are you from that vision?  (Thank you, mirakraz and tori 23, for inspiring this prompt).

As a kid I really didn’t have any visions of what I should be. The expectations were that I’d grow up, get married and have children. I was not one to rock the boat.

During that first marriage when life became difficult, I was lucky enough to visit a psychiatrist and learn that life could be better. She helped me uncover facets of myself that were truly hidden. Analyzing dreams was a big part of that process.

Last night I dreamt of visiting a huge empty(sometimes) house. I went into room after room. In the centre was a kitchen with two old fashioned Moffat ovens and very little else, apart from a sink. My thoughts flew to how it could be upgraded. I also thought this house would be too big for two, it needed to be divided, so that it could be shared with others.

On waking my first instinct was to consider this house to symbolize my writing career. So much to say, and so little said. The ovens represented my old fashioned approach, needing to be up graded. The size of the house represented the blogging community, as there were others in my peripheral vision. The feeling was warm and optimistic. So much scope, how much will I manage to achieve before that ultimate dead line?
