You have a cubby house with shutters!!!! Oh so jealous.
Sorry. Got distracted. Your flowers are just beautiful, Barbara. My grandmother had a wonderful camellia in her front yard, unfortunately gone now when the new owners cleared the entire block to build some monstrous house.
Heather, that cubby came in a flat pack, when I thought it would come already built!!! It was a labour of love. Have you thought about planting a camellia in memory of your grandmother’s?
This camellia was a gift from an aunt when we were married. It’s particularly special, as she’s no longer with us. I do like plants that remind me of people. 🙂

I hadn’t. But our garden is a work in progress. Or more like a work not in progress. I wouldn’t know where to put one right now. Maybe one day.

These photographs are breathtakingly beautiful. My particular favorite is the camellia. Wonderful!

Winter as I have never known it….

Yes, without snow, our winter is much milder by the coast. We do feel the winds off the snow from time to time. 🙂

Just love those cinerarias. Do they also come in azure blue?

Yes Amanda, there’s a lovely deep blue one, not sure if that is azure! Perhaps more Ultramarine? 🙂

Yes that is it, Ultramarine! I saw some gorgeous ones this colour in Norway last summer

Are tose flowers sometimes called ‘hot pokers’?

No, the red hot pokers have finished, these are Echinacea. Hope that’s spelt correctly!
