One handed! At least they are tall enough now, not to be lifted to reach.

Stamp collecting will be a thing of the past, since letter writing is going out of fashion.

Mackenzie is determined to read all of Roald Dahl’s books. He completed ‘Matilda’ in two days. I’ve already been beaten at chess!
Happy Holidays!
Oh, I miss playgrounds. And more simple pleasures before the teenage screen obsession took over. Maybe one day I’ll get to have a second go around as you have!

Our local primary school has great play grounds. It is a simple pleasure watching children play.
I do hope you get your second chance, Heather, to enjoy this again. ❤

It looks like you have your hands full in a good way! They sure look like they are enjoying their visit!

And you are right about stamps, not just because people do not write letters anymore, many of the post offices don’t use sticky stamps for parcels anymore. I’m always delighted when I receive a package from overseas with genuine stamps, it is a pleasant surprise that comes in the mailbox. One of my favourites was a longish stamp from Greenland with a pack of sled dogs on it. So iconic. You seem to have no shortage for the boys though! I hope they find it fun and interesting. Here’s a link to a picture of the stamp I mentioned:

What a remarkable stamp and such a big one! Thanks for sharing it, Stephanie. I agree, it’s always a special pleasure to receive something other than bill, with stamps, in the mail!

Thanks O. Babe! Mackenzie is very able when it comes to drawing. Being close in age both boys are great company for each other.

As soon as our 8 year old arrives he asks to go to the library! He just absorbs everything and reads constantly. I shall have to improve my chess game!! Glad you find the same thing happening at your place, Amanda! 🙂

Amazing how good these young kids are at chess. I taught my boys how to play and within a few months they were beating me!!! It is a great activity for kids as is reading Roal Dahl
