I remember a Mr. Larson who brought the Roman Empire to life for me and a Mrs. Lyon who held up my painting in art class and laughed at how bad it was. Both made indelible impressions.

You have mentioned the good and the bad Barbara, both indelible memories! I do think children in Primary School have a much more interesting agenda than we had. Good and Bad, it’s hard to judge which gets the better result!!

It seems to me that today’s teachers have problems with the time part: there are so many extraneous activities for the kids that they can’t possibly get all the serious teaching done, surely …?

Schools vary tremendously, but time can certainly be a factor, especially with the behavioural problems of today!
