Revisiting McClelland Gallery and Sculpture Park, I took so many photos that my computer is overwhelmed, and only down loaded one photo. So folks, this is it for today. I need to get the computer man to work out what has happened.
This park didn’t let me down, the boys were delighted to return, running around, knowing where their favourite sculptures are, as well as discovering the new ones in the most recent survey. The bush landscape was looking refreshed after rain.
Based on one photograph, I would love to see this amazing park with its unusual, thought provoking, humorous sculptures. I can see why children love it. What fun it would be to take a class on a field trip there.

You must have been a wonderful teacher Janet! I’d love to show you around the park, if ever you managed to get over our way.

well and last week was just reading about McClelland’s (1965) motivation/achievement info – I wonder if the park relates to the psychologist (I should look it up)

The gallery is named after Harry McClelland, an artist, and his sister Annie, who left money for the gallery to be built.

Irene, this gallery and sculpture park are in Langwarrin, the top end of the Mornington Peninsula. This is where we used to live, in the caretaker’s cottage. So I love to see our plantings growing. We live not far away, at Pearcedale. Hope you manage to visit!

Thanks Barbara. You were lucky to live there and have it as your back garden. No wonder you know it so well. It is now certainly on my list of places I want to travel to so I hope so.

Oh, we need to do an excursion around the bay. The boys would love this (even in their non-communicative teenage state).

I’m sure you’d all enjoy it Heather, especially with these pleasant days, when it is not too hot.
