Snapper: un-enhanced Sept 2014

Snapper colour enhanced
Christopher’s other painting in progress is of a snapper. The photos don’t do it justice, so shall add some details, so that you can see the intricacy and colours in his work.

Millie, our spoodle
Hi Barbara, Chris and Millie,
I love these unfinished paintings by Chris. The portrait of you has a lot of your spirit. It evokes a feeling of Chris’ love for you. I will be interested to read your novel soon.
I was planning a trip to Bendigo on Friday. Unfortunately I had a big fall on Friday morning so ended up not going. I have had a nice weekend in bed with my cats. Jane called in yesterday afternoon. The Archibald opens in a couple of weeks at MPRG.
Love and licks and purrs from us to all of you.

Hi Cheryl,
I’m sorry to hear about your fall. I do hope that you are able to keep your doctors appointments this week and can resolve some issues! Sorry about Bendigo! Lovely that Jane called. Our boys returned home on Saturday afternoon, so have been catching up since. Hope you’re feeling better, with much love, Bxx ❤

Wow! I like his style! Is there a name for that technique or style of painting? Is it watercolor?

Susan, I’m not sure what the style would be called. Chris is working in water colour at the moment, but his usual medium has been gouache over recent years. Glad you like it! 🙂

I can see a hook, it’s a fish alright! I love the subtle colouring and intricacy of the scales and flesh flakes. Makes me want to buy a slab of fish for dinner tonight, so the emotional content is there? 😀 I’ll pop back eventually, Barbara, I must catch up on Enduring Threads. ❤

Love the painting, Christopher does it well. I’ve just signed up for another course, Barbara, so one planned has to go! I’ll put off the psychology and mental health one, until next year. This new one is Digital Storytelling (on Coursera) and looks really interesting – it will go perfectly with the Introduction to the Computational Arts one. I started back on my novel yesterday, rewriting and/or restructuring the first 89000 words and I must forge on to the end. Then the hard work starts – editing and formatting. I’m off to work shortly and I shouldn’t even be on my blog yet! Heck, I haven’t made the bed – must do right away! ❤
