The satisfaction is enormous. I have found a new Danish computer man, Thomas, who helped me solve a couple of things that will allow me to do some tidying up on the computer and also to understand some of the simple things that seem obvious to everyone else.

The TV aerial needed adjustment since we’ve gone from analogue to digital. Every storm or rainy night left us with a black screen. It is quite a treat to see a session without having to fill in the blanks.

The garden too has benefitted from the installation of a watering system, ready for next summer.

Having the children introduced us to predawn starts to the day again. I have included some photos of our visit to McClelland Gallery and Sculpture Park, where we used to live in the caretaker’s cottage. The boys enjoy running around finding their favourite sculptures. I love to see the growth of the trees we planted. The sculpture park is on 40 acres with lots of sculptures scattered around the park. There is a biannual sculpture prize of $100,000. Shall introduce you to more sculptures as time goes by.

Troubling times for those around us makes us realise how fragile life can be. Our neighbour is in intensive care after a very severe car accident. Another larger car swerved onto her side of the road. It took an hour and a half to cut her out of the car, before she was airlifted to the Alfred Hospital in the city. Her injuries are massive, and we’ll wait to see if she’ll survive. It makes us grateful for every day, as none of us know what the future holds.

      Thanks MT, glad you like the photos, and Yvonne is now out of the coma and things are looking positive for her. Long rehab ahead, but she asked for a cigarette! The family said, ‘she’s back!’

    Late to the party, as often, and really just repeating everyone else: Entranced by the sculpture park, consider you ever so fortunate to have lived there, wish I could visit, think your grandsons are adorable, and am very sorry about your neighbor. Enjoyed the later post of the park, as well.

    More sculpture please. This is what I was doing from the 1970s on for twenty odd years. I love it and miss it. What a wonderful place to have looked after.
    I wish your friend well. The human frame is incredibly resilient and the medical profession will give her their utmost.

    I love the sculptures – especially the red man and the tubular art. I’m imagining that it makes sounds in the wind. The entire park must be a really interesting place to visit!

    Best wishes to your neighbour. These events are very sobering especially when they occur close to us. I hope she makes a steady and strong recovery.

      Good to be back, shall take things slowly, as I’m spending some time writing and can’t manage everything. I did miss you all though! Shall let you know how Yvonne goes, it’s a great shock, especially for her four children and husband.

    I love the sculpture park photographs. The red man is something that would have drawn me as a child…would draw me as an adult. And you lived there and looked after it? Best wishes for your neighbour. Life is fragile and needs to be filled with love and art (and good food). Lets hope she rallies and makes a full recovery.

      Lovely to hear from you Simon. My camera ran out of battery at the park, so shall be back to take more photos. It’s always wonderful to see the changes. Yvonne is in a coma, so only time will tell. Thanks for your good wishes.
