Black and White Sunday:

Paula has a black and white Sunday, not sure if this is the way to do it, but here it is:

Christopher and Millie

We had a visit from Susan Gordon Brown who photographed Chris’ work. She also took some extras, so shall ChrisPyett13June20140087share a couple with you. The washing was included as a whim of my beloved.mergeyes_widget

A ‘sticky’ is a post that stays at the top, sorry, it’s not the teminology used here. Your featured post. I didn’t scroll down past it at first, idiot that I am (sometimes). Barbara, I’ll put a ‘follow by email’ widget on my ‘sidebar page’ for you. 🙂

No worries Barbara. I got rid of the blog roll and now show the My Community widget with ‘lots’ of who ‘liked or commented’. Not followers, as I have some spooky looking individuals there! 😀

You do make me laugh!! You obviously have a lots to teach me about computers, I still baulk at the simplest of ‘widgets’ and some of the other terms I have no idea what they mean…
Reading manuals doesn’t appeal, so I’ll wait till someone comes who knows about such things.

There is nothing like a fire to keep the house warm and dry the clothes. Most of the year I seem to hang the socks and undies straight on to the clothes horses, skipping the clothesline. (I drape, not peg.) They dry overnight. Lovely photos. Methinks you look slightly embarrassed about the washing Barbara! 🙂

And it’s clean laundry being aired! By the way, I’m sorry for neglecting your blog Barbara. I’ve been by a few times but didn’t notice the top post was a sticky. Didn’t scroll down. Oops.

What’s a sticky Christine? Please don’t apologise, I’m negligent, as yours don’t come automatically to my e-mails. I feel so ignorant with this blessed computer!

Yes it is useful having a fire. I do like to dry the jumpers there too, if it’s not sunny.
Yes, washing wasn’t my first choice…. but who am I to say!

Lucky so far, but with the price of wood going up we’re not sure how long we’ll be able to keep it. I just love having it as it warms the whole house. Am dreading an alternative….

Hello Barbara 🙂 I really enjoy these photos, and I do not object to your posting others’ photos especially when you give them credit. Really nice family photos (washing was a nice touch). Thank you very much for linking. Best to you, hubby and Millie 🙂

I hang mine in front of the fireplace during the winter. Have lines strung between door jambs and diagonally across the room. Reminds me of the set of *The Honeymooners* with Jackie Gleason. Did you ever see that 60’s sitcom?

We’re in good company then, it’s the best way to get it dry. I missed The Honeymooners with Jackie Gleason. I purchased our first TV in 1975, and restricted our viewing… very puritanical I was in those days!!
